How many times have you been stuck digging through all of the sippy cup pieces trying to find all of the matching parts to assemble just one cup while your child stands behind you tugging your shirt and squealing for their drink. It is just not fun. Assembling them after washing and drying may not be as pressure driven, but it still requires determining which parts go together.
The best thing I think I’ve done in awhile is to determine which cup works best for my son, and buy a lot of that one cup. The determining factors include how well it seals, how easy it is to clean, and most importantly how much it deters his ability to dump what ever is in it on whatever is around him (though he did manage to show me that while the cup may prevent spills, he can still fill his little cheeks and spout his drink like a geyser). We found the Munchkin Flip Straw to work the best for us.
Now whether it is putting it together in a pinch, or just routine assembly, they all have the same pieces and all go together the same way. SANITY SAVED.
Random tip – Get a pack of pipe cleaners and use them to clean out the straws. The dishwasher does NOT get them clean on the inside. Nothing like finding a straw at the bottom of the drawer with mold in it because a little particle of milk was hiding inside!! EWW!!
